In the winter you can access Mammoth by road through the North Entrance only. Mammoth Hot Springs lies in the extreme northwest corner of Yellowstone Park.

From Gardiner, MT, drive south 5 miles on the north entrance spur road to Mammoth Hot Springs Village.

Old Faithful

In the winter access to Old Faithful Snow Lodge is by over-the-snow vehicles only. You can make reservations for a snow coach by calling 866 GEYSERLAND (866-439-7375). Snowcoaches to Old Faithful depart from Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel, West Yellowstone and Flagg Ranch.

If you are planning a winter visit be sure to visit the Bear Den Gift Shop at either Mammoth Hot Springs or Old Faithful Snow Lodge for ski and snowshoe rental and instruction information.
