Imagine waking up to a sunrise over glassy morning waters of Yellowstone Lake. After breakfast, paddle to a secluded section of the lake that few people have ever experienced! Back country shuttle service is a great way to get better acquainted with Yellowstone.

Description
Our Backcountry Shuttle Service can carry up to 6 people, gear and boats to back country drop-off locations and campsites on Yellowstone Lake.
Set up a base camp from which to explore remote locations (by paddle or foot) of Yellowstone. Use the service to get you to a better starting point for your backpacking trip. With this service, you can have a true Yellowstone back country experience with all the conveniences of car-camping.
Get an early start! Spend the night before or after your back country trip in a nearby park hotel. Within 5 miles of Bridge Bay Marina are Lake Lodge Cabins, and Lake Yellowstone Hotel and Cabins. Grant Village and Canyon Lodge and Cabins are approx. 20 miles.
Drop-off Points
Drop-off points include: Eagle Bay, Wolf Bay, Plover Point, Promontory, Columbine Creek on the east shore of the mouth of the Southeast arm. The shuttle can be booked one way, round trip or for any point-to-point service from the five mentioned drop off points, as well as to and from Bridge Bay Marina.
Typical loads
- Up to six backpackers with backpacking gear per shuttle trip.
- Up to six campers with gear including three or four kayaks/canoes per shuttle trip, determined by weather conditions and overall weight.
- Book multiple shuttle trips to accommodate large parties or outfitters.
Canoes and/or rowboats may be rented in conjunction with a back country shuttle. Canoe rental includes: 17' canoe, paddles, life vests, and outriggers. Rowboat rental includes: 16’ rowboat, oars, and life vests.

Fishing License Information
It will be the responsibility of the guest to obtain a valid park fishing permit prior to the start of the guided fly-fishing outing. Anglers 16 years or older are required to purchase a $15 three-day permit, a $20 seven-day permit or a $35 season permit. Anglers 15 years of age or younger have two options:
- Children age 15 or younger may fish without a permit if they are fishing under the direct supervision of an adult who has a valid park fishing permit.
- Children age 15 or younger may obtain a free permit that must be signed by a responsible adult allowing the child to fish without direct adult supervision.
Park fishing permits are available at all Ranger Stations, Visitor Centers, Yellowstone Park General Stores and the Xanterra Bridge Bay Marina. No state fishing license is required in Yellowstone National Park.
