Old Faithful Snow Lodge Dining: Obsidian Dining Room

Directions:
Yellowstone’s main park roads form a “figure eight,” with spurs heading out from the “eight” to the five park entrances. For reference purposes, the “eight” is divided into an upper and lower loop.
From Madison Junction, drive 16 miles/ 26 kilometers south along with main park road (west side-lower loop) to Old Faithful Village.
From West Thumb Junction, drive 17 miles/27 kilometers west along the main park road (south side-lower loop) to Old Faithful Village.
Overall, Old Faithful is 51 miles/82 kilometers from Mammoth Hot Springs, 38 miles/61 kilometers from the Lake Village, 39 miles/62 kilometers from the South Entrance and 30 miles/48 kilometers from the West Entrance.

The Snow Lodge, and the Obsidian Dining Room are also open in winter. After a morning or afternoon of snowbound touring, this is a great place to refuel with a hot meal.

Description
Beautiful custom chandeliers accent the Obsidian Dining Room. The Obsidian serves a range of appealing items including Bison Short Ribs and Wild Alaska Salmon. Seating is first-come, first served for all meals. Breakfast is à la carte.
Reflect on your day with friends and family at the Firehole Lounge, located just off the Obsidian Dining Room. If you're lucky, you'll get one of the comfy chairs in front of the large fireplace!
Winter visitors to Old Faithful will also find a warm escape and great meal at the Obsidian Dining Room. In winter, we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with reservations required for dinner. The Firehole Lounge is open as well, and there are perfect seats for sitting back and propping up your feet in front of the fireplace.

The Obsidian Dining Room opens for the summer at 5:00 p.m. on April 30, 2010
- Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
- Dinner: 5:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
The dining room closes at 10:30 on October 24
Obsidian Dining Room Winter Dates & Hours of Operation:
The Obsidian Dining Room will open for the winter at 11:30 a.m. on December 18, 2009
- Breakfast- 6:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
- Lunch - 11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- *Dinner- 5:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. (reservations required)

Reservations
Dinner reservations are not accepted during the summer season. Dinner is first come, first seated.

Breakfast and lunch are on a first-come, first-seated basis.
