Yellowstone's Canyon Lodge & Cabins
Canyon Lodge and Cabins is a sprawling facility near the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The accommodations include lodge rooms (located in two separate lodge buildings) and multiplex cabin-style units.
Dunraven Lodge and Cascade Lodge are a part of the larger Canyon Lodge facility, these are two story buildings located next to each other. The only additional guest services in these buildings are vending machines for either snacks or soda.
The balance of the lodging is made up of multi-plex Western and Frontier Cabins. The cabins, built in the 1950's and 60's are arranged in loops. All hotel and cabin rooms have private baths.
The main lodge building is also a product of the "Mission 66 days" and includes a reception desk, gift store, picnic/deli shop, full service restaurant and cafeteria. Horseback rides are also available from the nearby corrals.
Please note that all park accommodations are non-smoking and, reflecting the natural surroundings of Yellowstone; televisions, radios, air conditioning, and Internet service are not available. Wheelchair accessible accommodations are available on a limited basis.

Lodge Rooms
Located in the Cascade and Dunraven Lodges, the attractively decorated hotel rooms offer modern western-themed lodge furniture, typically with two double beds. Cascade Lodge was built in 1992, with three floors and no elevators. Dunraven Lodge was completed in 1998 with four floors and elevator access to all floors. No telephones.
Western Cabins
These are units built in modules of 4 or 6 units include private full bathrooms. Each is spacious with modern furnishings and two queen beds. No telephones.
Frontier Cabins
Simple, modest units were built in the 1950's and are configured in modules of 4 or 8 cabins. Private bathrooms include a shower, toilet and sink. No telephones.
Accessible Rooms
Located on the first floors of Dunraven and Cascade Lodges, the rooms are attractively appointed, with accessible bathrooms featuring showers with handrails, portable shower-hose attachments and accessible toilets and sinks. Yellowstone National Park Lodges Update: 2012 Facility Improvements
As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain and protect some of America’s Treasures, there will be several projects underway in 2012. While every effort will be made to minimize guest impact, due to the type of work being done, it’s likely that some guest areas will be impacted in terms of work-related activities and noise. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.
Scheduled Xanterra facilities projects include:
Old Faithful Inn- Interior lobby/dining room roof/fireplace work. Scheduled throughout the summer. Dining room and hotel will remain open.
Lake Hotel- Interior renovations, Exterior painting will be ongoing during the summer. Interior renovations will begin after Labor Day. The hotel will remain open.
Canyon Lodge- Roof repair on main lodge building ongoing throughout the summer. Interior work on dining/gift shop building. Exterior painting to Dunraven Lodge, Cascade Lodge and cabins. Buildings will remain open.
Lake Lodge-Roof repair to lodge building. Exterior painting to cabins scheduled throughout the summer. Lodge and cabins to remain open.
Mammoth Hotel-exterior painting ongoing throughout the summer. Hotel to remain open.
Scheduled NPS projects include:
Canyon Village-Parking lot redesign and paving. Sections of parking lot to be closed on rotating basis throughout the summer.
