Fire and Ice, a description very fitting here in Yellowstone.  The combination of the two create a surreal winter world.

Season: Winter,  Intensity: 2,  Duration: 3.25 hours,  Location: Old Faithful Area

Description

Steamy thermal features, cold winter temperatures equal a wonderland unimaginable to anyone who has not seen what can be created in those conditions.  A journey along Yellowstone's Firehole River can reward you with spectacular scenery, wildlife watching and an increased admiration for what the early visitors and military personnel enjoyed and endured. While the snowcoaches are heated, sightseeing stops, where passengers leave the coach, necessitate warm footwear and warm layered clothing.
