There is no better season than winter to experience Yellowstone. Transportation is limited to over-the-snow vehicles during this time of the year. The Mammoth Hot Springs area offers both snowcoach shuttles and interpretive tours, so that you and your family can comfortably enjoy all that Yellowstone National Park wintry landscape has to offer via one of the snowcoaches that operates from this area.

Description
Getting into the interior of Yellowstone National Park in the winter is an adventure in itself. Xanterra provides round-trip snowcoach transportation to and from Mammoth Hot Springs. Our snowcoaches are heated and we offer sightseeing stops along the way to for wildlife, steaming geysers, and stunning views of the winter scenic landscape. While the snowcoaches are heated, sightseeing stops, where passengers leave the coach, necessitate warm footwear and warm layered clothing.
Daily One-Way and Round-trip Snowcoach Tours
Xanterra offers daily one-way tours between Mammoth Hot Springs to Old Faithful for those with reservations at Old Faithful Snow Lodge. You can also book a round trip snowcoach tour to Old Faithful from Mammoth; this tour will have about an hour and a half layover at Old Faithful, enough time to get out in the geyser basin a little or to check out the new Old Faithful Visitor Education Center. Luggage Restrictions
Each guest entering the park by snowcoach is restricted to two pieces of luggage plus cross-country ski equipment. Hard-sided luggage is advised.
Clothing
While the snowcoaches are heated, sightseeing stops, where passengers leave the coach, necessitate warm footwear and warm layered clothing.
