Old Faithful Snow Lodge & Cabins

Completed in 1999, the Snow Lodge is the newest of the park's full service hotels, and has been recognized with the Cody Award for Western Design and Travel and Leisure's Inn of the Month.

The heavy timber construction, exterior log columns and cedar shingle roof were part of the design that is destined to make the Snow Lodge a significant example of classic "parkitecture."

Accommodations include lodge rooms, Western Cabins and Frontier Cabins. The interior features include furnishings, fixtures and appointments that carry creative wildlife and park themes.

A full service dining room, quick service "Geyser Grill" and charming Bear Den Gift Store round out the impressive amenities at Old Faithful Snow Lodge.

Please note that all park accommodations are non-smoking and, reflecting the natural surroundings of Yellowstone; televisions, radios, air conditioning are not available. Internet service is available for purchase in guest rooms and lobby areas. Wheelchair accessible  accommodations are available on a limited basis.

Lodge Rooms

Located in the Snow Lodge building, western lodge-style furnishings create a stunning impression with their wildlife adornments and features. Full bathrooms, telephones, coffee makers, refrigerators and hair dryers are located in all the rooms.

Accessible Lodge Rooms

The accessible lodge rooms offer the same look as the standard lodge room except they are all located on the ground floor with specially designed roll-in showers and accessible toilets and sinks.

Western Cabins

These units were built in 1989 and are situated in modules of four. Each is spacious and modernly furnished, typically with two queen size beds and full bathroom.

Accessible Western Cabins

The accessible western cabins are similar to standard western cabin except they offer an accessible bathtub with handrails and portable shower-hose attachment and accessible toilet, sink and entry ramp outside.

Frontier Cabins

Duplex cabin-style units are simple but comfortable with a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.

Lodging rates are per night, for up to 2 adults and do not include tax or utility fee. Most rooms available online allow 2 to 4 people per room. Larger room sizes may be available. Yellowstone National Park Lodges Update: 2012 Facility Improvements

As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain and protect some of America’s Treasures, there will be several projects underway in 2012. While every effort will be made to minimize guest impact, due to the type of work being done, it’s likely that some guest areas will be impacted in terms of work-related activities and noise. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Scheduled Xanterra facilities projects include:
Old Faithful Inn- Interior lobby/dining room roof/fireplace work. Scheduled throughout the summer. Dining room and hotel will remain open.
Lake Hotel- Interior renovations, Exterior painting will be ongoing during the summer. Interior renovations will begin after Labor Day. The hotel will remain open.
Canyon Lodge- Roof repair on main lodge building ongoing throughout the summer. Interior work on dining/gift shop building. Exterior painting to Dunraven Lodge, Cascade Lodge and cabins. Buildings will remain open.
Lake Lodge-Roof repair to lodge building. Exterior painting to cabins scheduled throughout the summer. Lodge and cabins to remain open.
Mammoth Hotel-exterior painting ongoing throughout the summer. Hotel to remain open.

Scheduled NPS projects include:
Canyon Village-Parking lot redesign and paving. Sections of parking lot to be closed on rotating basis throughout the summer.
