Yellowstone's Famous Old Faithful Inn

As a national historic landmark, Old Faithful Inn is the most requested lodging facility in the park.

The rustic-style lodge, with log and wood shingle exterior is located adjacent to the world famous Old Faithful Geyser. The original part of the Inn, known as the "Old House" was completed in 1904 and includes an immense lobby with a huge stone fireplace.

The East and West Wings were added in the teens and the twenties, with many rooms having been remodeled in recent years. Guest accommodations include rooms with private and shared baths. Additionally, a full service restaurant, deli, gift store and interpretive tours are available at the Inn.

Please note that all park accommodations are non-smoking and reflecting the natural surroundings of Yellowstone; televisions, radios, air conditioning, and Internet service is not available. Wheelchair accessible accommodations are available on a limited basis.

Suites

The suites feature a well-appointed sitting room with refrigerator and a bedroom with two queen beds. The private bathroom includes a tub/shower, sink and toilet.

Semi-Suites

These extra-large rooms include a sitting area along with two queen beds. Private bathroom includes a tub/shower, toilet and sink.

East Wing Geyserside, West Wing Frontside,

These premium rooms looking out on the geyser basin, are well-appointed that include one or two queen beds and a private bath. (Tub/shower or shower, sink and toilet.)

East Wing Standard, West Wing Standard

These rooms offer attractive modern furnishings with either one or two queen size beds and a private bath. They come with either a Tub/shower or shower only.  

Old House Room

Simple yet comfortable rooms located in the Old House with one or two queen beds and a private bath equipped with tub, toilet and sink.

Rooms with Shared Bath

Charming yet basic rooms located in the Old House with queen bed(s) and a vanity sink. Shared bathrooms with private showers located down the hall.

Accessible Rooms

Accessible rooms are well-appointed rooms with a queen bed and private bathrooms located on the first floor. The bathtub has handrails and a portable shower-hose attachment. The toilet and sink are designed specifically for accessibility.

Current Rate Disclaimer

Lodging rates are per night, for up to 2 adults and do not include tax or utility fee. Most rooms available online allow 2 to 4 people per room. Larger room sizes may be available. Yellowstone National Park Lodges Update: 2012 Facility Improvements

As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain and protect some of America’s Treasures, there will be several projects underway in 2012. While every effort will be made to minimize guest impact, due to the type of work being done, it’s likely that some guest areas will be impacted in terms of work-related activities and noise. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Scheduled Xanterra facilities projects include:
Old Faithful Inn- Interior lobby/dining room roof/fireplace work. Scheduled throughout the summer. Dining room and hotel will remain open.
Lake Hotel- Interior renovations, Exterior painting will be ongoing during the summer. Interior renovations will begin after Labor Day. The hotel will remain open.
Canyon Lodge- Roof repair on main lodge building ongoing throughout the summer. Interior work on dining/gift shop building. Exterior painting to Dunraven Lodge, Cascade Lodge and cabins. Buildings will remain open.
Lake Lodge-Roof repair to lodge building. Exterior painting to cabins scheduled throughout the summer. Lodge and cabins to remain open.
Mammoth Hotel-exterior painting ongoing throughout the summer. Hotel to remain open.

Scheduled NPS projects include:
Canyon Village-Parking lot redesign and paving. Sections of parking lot to be closed on rotating basis throughout the summer.
