Images of Fire and Ice: Photographing Yellowstone in WinterOffered January 13 - 20, January 21 - 28, 2012 and January 29 - February 5, 2012 Online Package Reservation Request Form
We launched our first winter photo workshop in February of 2005. Needless to say, it was a big hit! Don't miss your chance to join a small group of avid photographers and nature buffs as we slip into snowcoaches and enter the magical world of Yellowstone in the winter. Winter can create varied light conditions – from bright direct sun to heavy overcast with falling snow. We’ve endured bitter cold and heavy snow. But the reward has always been some breathtaking moments when you can’t possibly make pictures as fast as your eyes find them. The basic itinerary calls for the first two nights at Mammoth Hot Springs, then three nights at Snow Lodge (next to Old Faithful), and then back to Mammoth for another two nights. Travel into the park’s interior will be by snow coach. We’ve worked out a voucher system for meals (breakfasts and lunches) – to give you the greatest flexibility (some dinner will be on your own.) You’ll also be provided Xanterra’s popular Snow Card, which is good for 10% off meals, gifts and other Xanterra services.
