YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, May 16, 2014 – Guests at Yellowstone National Park’s Lake Yellowstone Hotel will be treated to autographs and a musical performance as Miss Wyoming, Miss Montana and Miss Idaho will grace the hotel’s Sun Room the evenings of May 22 and 23.

“We are very pleased to host these fine representatives of the three states with which we have such a strong connection,” said Rick Hoeninghausen, director of sales and marketing for Xanterra Parks & Resorts’ Yellowstone National Park Lodges, operator of the hotels and other concessions in the park.

Portions of the three states are within Yellowstone’s borders, and the ladies will be touring the park for two days. Both evenings will feature autographs and music from 7 to 8:00 p.m. in the hotel’s Sun Room with Miss Wyoming playing piano and Miss Idaho playing violin. The three will also be signing autographs at the Old Faithful Inn between 1 and 2 p.m. on May 23.

Sarah Downs of Nampa is the reigning Miss Idaho. Sheridan Pope of Sidney is Miss Montana. Rebecca Podio of Newcastle is Miss Wyoming.

The Lake Yellowstone Hotel, a member of Historic Hotels of America, is nearing completion of a two-year renovation in excess of $28.5 million. Last year the Sun Room, lobby, dining room, registration desk, bell desk and bar were renovated and in some cases, redesigned. The effect is a warm and welcoming area that has always been popular with visitors, especially in the early evening as people gather for dinner, cocktails, the sunset and music.

The Lake Yellowstone Hotel opens for the season May 16 and closes Oct. 5, 2014. The hotel features king and queen lakeside and standard rooms as well as lakeside suites and the presidential suite once used by President Calvin Coolidge.

Yellowstone National Park Lodges operates nine in-park lodging facilities, four campgrounds and an RV park along with restaurants, activities and gift shops.
