This is a tour designed to take you to where the wild things are.

Season: Winter,  Intensity: 2,  Duration: 4 hours,  Location: Mammoth Hot Springs Area

Description

Come with us on a winter wildlife safari!  The Northern Range is an excellent habitat for wildlife, there are wide open grassy valleys that in the winter are covered with less snow than other locations in the park making it a bit easier to get to that food source.  Elk and Bison both make Lamar Valley and an area called Little America are home to bison, elk, coyote, wolves, eagles, bighorn, and many other smaller but no less interesting creatures.

Dates of Operation and Rates

We offer a variety of snowcoach tours, including custom guided, interpretive, and express runs. Visit our Dates of Operation and Rates page for more information.

Clothing

Although our buses/vans are heated, the sightseeing stops along the way from start to finish necessitate warm footwear and clothing.
