YELLOWSTONE OFFERS EARLY SEASON PACKAGE AT OLD FAITHFUL SNOW LODGE
Xanterra Parks & Resorts in Yellowstone National Park is offering the early-season Yellowstone Discovery Package at Snow Lodge April 30 through May 11, 2011.
The package includes two nights lodging at Old Faithful Snow Lodge, breakfast for two each morning and $50 gift store coupon per paying guest. Children 11 years and younger stay in the room for free, but their breakfasts and store coupon are not included. Rates for the two-night package in a lodge room are $199 per person, plus tax and utility fee based upon double occupancy.
“Spring visits mean an opportunity to see the young animals throughout the park and to enjoy our ‘quiet season’ before we have all of the hotels and lodges open,” said Rick Hoeninghausen, director of sales and marketing.
Located in the Upper Geyser Basin near Old Faithful geyser, the Old Faithful Snow Lodge is the newest of the park’s full service hotels and the first to open for summer. The heavy timber construction, exterior log columns and cedar shingle roof were part of the design that is destined to make the Snow Lodge a significant example of classic “parkitecture.” The interior features include furnishings, fixtures and appointments that carry creative wildlife and park themes. Accommodations include lodge rooms, western cabins and frontier cabins. The lodge features a full-service dining room, fast-food “Geyser Grill,” “Bear Den” gift store, bicycle rentals in summer, and cross-country ski rentals and ice skating in winter.
