#YellowstoneJobs is THE place to learn what it means to live, work, and explore in Yellowstone National Park. We loved seeing your photos and hearing your stories that you posted in 2019. And now we are looking for the best of the best with a contest where you could win a $50 Amazon Gift Card!

How to Enter:

  • Submit your 2019 photos via Instagram (using #yellowstonejobscontest) OR via the form below now through December 5, 2019 to win one of five $50 gift cards!
  • Yellowstone National Park Lodges will narrow down the entries to the top three finalists for each category:
    • Living in Yellowstone: Photos that depict the Yellowstone lifestyle (dorms, employee dining rooms, recreation halls, etc.)
    • Working in Yellowstone: Photos that show you on the job in Yellowstone
    • Exploring in Yellowstone: Photos that depict you enjoying Yellowstone (hiking, camping, hammocking, etc.) Note, these photos MUST have people in them.
    • Wildlife: Photos of Yellowstone wildlife
    • Scenery: Photos of Yellowstone scenery. Note, these photos must NOT include people.
  • Finalists photos will be posted on Facebook and Instagram between December 9-13 and winners will be selected by “likes”. Be sure to check back to see if you’re photo is selected and tell your friends and family to like it as well
  • Photos with the most likes (combined for both Facebook and Instagram in each of the categories) will be contacted by December 18th and win a $50 Amazon gift card!

Official Rules

YOUR ENTRY INTO THIS CONTEST IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS, CONDITIONS, LIMITATIONS, AND OTHER RULES (THE “OFFICIAL RULES”). BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST, YOU (“ENTRANT”) SIGNIFY YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES.

Administrator: The 2019 Yellowstone Employee Photo Contest (the “Contest”) is administered and sponsored by Xanterra Leisure Holding, LLC (“Administrator,” “us,” “our,” or “we”). This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram and Facebook. You understand that you are providing your information to the Administrator and its affiliates and not to Instagram and Facebook.

Eligibility: The Contest is open only to employees of Administrator who worked at Yellowstone National Park in 2019 and who are at least eighteen (18) years old and who are residents of the U.S. during the Promotion Period (defined below). The Contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Participation constitutes Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Administrator’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.

Timing: The Contest begins at 8:00 a.m. Mountain Time (“MT”), November 5, 2019, and ends at 11:59 p.m. MT, December 5, 2019 (the “Promotion Period”).

How to Enter:

Post your photos relating to the theme of “working in Yellowstone” using one of the themes listed below (the themes below are referred to as the “Contest Categories”) to your Instagram account with the hashtag #yellowstonejobscontest. Make sure your account privacy settings are set to public so we can see your photos.

Alternatively, you can submit your photos on our website www.yellowstonenationalparklodges.com/yellowstonejobscontest (the “Contest Website”). You will receive one (1) entry per unique photo posted on your Instagram account or on the Contest Website in the manner described in these Official Rules (if the same photo is posted on both your Instagram account and the Contest Website, you will only receive one (1) entry for that photo). No entry limit. Subject to Official Rules. All Entries must be received online via Instagram or the Contest Website during the Promotion Period, and no other means of submission will be accepted. Entries will be accepted in the following Contest Categories:

  • Living in Yellowstone: Photos that depict the Yellowstone lifestyle (dorms, employee dining rooms, recreation halls, etc.)
  • Working in Yellowstone: Photos that show you on the job in Yellowstone
  • Exploring in Yellowstone: Photos that depict you enjoying Yellowstone (hiking, camping, hammocking, etc.) Note, these photos MUST have people in them.
  • Wildlife: Photos of Yellowstone wildlife
  • Scenery: Photos of Yellowstone scenery. Note, these photos must NOT include people.

Intellectual Property Rights: As between you and the Administrator, all Entries, including without limitation all graphics, images, text, and other content therein (collectively “Content”), become the exclusive property of Administrator, and none will be acknowledged or returned. By submitting your Entry, you irrevocably assign to the Administrator all right, title and interest in and to all Content contained within your Entry, including all copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property therein.  You acknowledge and agree that Administrator may, but is not obligated to, create and distribute marketing materials featuring the design submitted in your Entry, in perpetuity, free from all restrictions and limitations, without any obligation of notification, attribution, or compensation to the Entrant, including without limitation the right to include your Entry’s Content in advertising and promotional materials related in any manner to Yellowstone National Park. All Content within the Entry must be original Content created solely by Entrant.

Proof of submission will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Administrator. Administrator is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or otherwise non-conforming Entries, each of which will be disqualified. Use of any automated system to submit Entries is prohibited and will result in disqualification.

Winner Selection: Yellowstone National Park Lodges will narrow down the entries to the top three photos in each Contest Category based on the following criteria, as determined by a panel of judges consisting of current Yellowstone National Park employees:  50% based on creativity of the photo, and 50% based on the photo’s caption reflecting on working at Yellowstone National Park. The selection of the Contest winners for each Contest Category will be determined by public voting (i.e., liking the photo) on Yellowstone Job’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts throughout the week of December 9-13, 2019. Each day, a different Contest Category will be posted. Five winners will be chosen (one from each category) from the pool of eligible Entrants based on the Entry that receives the highest number of votes combined from both the Contest’s Facebook and Instagram pages. The winner will be notified through Instagram private message or email. Entrants selected must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. Any potential winner shall be subject to verification by Administrator, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. If a potential winner is discovered to be ineligible for the Contest (including if the potential winner was not employed by Administrator in 2019), or if he/she fails to sign and return the completed affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within the required time period (if requested), a runner-up Entrant will be selected in his/her place.

Prize: Five (5) prizes will be awarded in this Contest (one prize in each Contest Category). The prizes consist SOLELY of $50.00 Amazon Gift Cards. If a winner is currently employed by Administrator, prize will be subject to the same tax deductions as applicable to other payroll amounts paid to Entrant by Administrator.

Total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of the prizes: $250.00 total in prizes (5 Amazon Gift Cards of $50 each).

Release: By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Administrator, Yellowstone National Park, and each of their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, prize suppliers, and each such company’s officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

General Conditions: Administrator reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Administrator in its sole discretion, and Administrator disclaims any liability for such events. If terminated, Administrator may, in its sole discretion, determine the winner from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received up to time of such action using the procedure outlined above. Administrator, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner and void all associated Entries. Administrator’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Administrator further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the Contest if it cannot be conducted, operated, or completed as planned for any reason.

Representations and Warranties:
By submitting an Entry, Entrant acknowledges, represents, and warrants that: (i) the Content contained in the Entry is Entrant’s own original Content and Entrant owns all rights in such Content; (ii) the Entry does not contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement; (iii) the Entry does not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of, or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state where Entry is created; (iv) the Entry does not contain Content that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous, or libelous; and (v) Entrant meets all requirements for eligibility set forth in these Official Rules.

Limitations of Liability: Released Parties are not responsible for: (i) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Entrant, printing, typographical, or other errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone/internet lines or network hardware or software; (iii) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; (iv) printing, typographical, technical, computer, network, or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest, the uploading, the processing, or selection of entries, the announcement of the prizes, or in any Contest-related materials; (v) late, lost, undeliverable, faulty, or damaged entries or private messages; or (vi) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from Entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize (including any travel/activity related thereto). Released Parties are not responsible for misdirected or undeliverable Entries or for any technical problems, malfunctions of computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmission or any combination thereof. Released Parties are not responsible for any unauthorized third party use of any Entry.

Disputes: 
Entrant agrees that: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of Entrant(s) and Administrator and their agencies, shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Colorado.  Entrant agrees that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Contest, or awarding of the prize, shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in the State of Colorado. Entrant hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action.  Except where prohibited, by participating in this Contest, Entrant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or awarding of the prize, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this Contest but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any participant be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.  Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitations or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.
