Steamy thermal features, cold winter temperatures, and bison trudging through the snow all equal a wonderland that is sure to delight and challenge photographers of all levels. This tour will travel at a leisurely pace along the Firehole and Madison River corridors taking advantage of the numerous wildlife and landscape photo opportunities. An experienced photographer/interpretive guide will cover the basics of nature photography and can offer suggestions to help improve camera skills in order to capture the magic of winter in Yellowstone. There is plenty of room for all of your photography equipment. Please be sure to charge your batteries the night before your tour!
Please order your included deli box lunch at the Front Desk by 7:00 pm the night prior to your tour. Club Croissant deli box lunches will be ordered for all individuals who do not place an order by 7:00 pm the night prior to the tour departure. Timing can vary due to weather conditions. We suggest participants dress for cold outside temperatures, layers are best.
Old Faithful Snow Lodge
Over-snow transportation is required to and from Snow Lodge during the winter season, roads are closed to personal vehicles. We offer snowcoach transportation between Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Old Faithful Snow Lodge for an additional charge (reservations are required each direction).
