Message Regarding Possible Government Shutdown

Updated on January 17, 2018, at 4:40 p.m. Mountain Time

Our parent company, Xanterra, is monitoring the possible U.S. government shutdown and is communicating frequently with the National Park Service (NPS). We have not received official word from the NPS regarding whether the parks will remain open should the shutdown of the government occur.

We remain optimistic that Congress will reach a resolution or, failing that, permit the national parks to remain open. If a government shutdown does occur that leads to closure of the national parks, we will be in contact with you via email or telephone to advise you of the situation, and then we will work to reschedule your trip or refund your deposit, at your discretion. If your visit to a national park is interrupted by a government shutdown and you are unable to use our facilities or services that you have previously paid for, you will be refunded the unused portion of your trip.

Thank you for your patience. We sincerely appreciate your choosing Xanterra Parks & Resorts for your travel needs.

At Yellowstone National Park Lodges, you’re invited to discover or rediscover the magic of the world’s first national park, Yellowstone. As proud stewards of the park and this truly extraordinary American wonder, we’ll help you find your ultimate Yellowstone experience—all while working to protect and preserve the park for future generations.

Yellowstone continues to provide inspiration for the people of the world and is a reflection of American values and ideals. From lodging, camping and dining to finding your way, things to do or applying for a job, find the information you need for planning a uniquely memorable visit to the extraordinary destination of Yellowstone National Park.
