Winter Photo Safari

All Day Tour

Steamy thermal features, cold winter temperatures, and bison trudging through the snow all equal a wonderland that is sure to delight and challenge photographers of all levels. This tour will travel at a leisurely pace along the Firehole and Madison River corridors taking advantage of the numerous wildlife and landscape photo opportunities. An experienced photographer/interpretive guide will cover the basics of nature photography and can offer suggestions to help improve camera skills in order to capture the magic of winter in Yellowstone. There is plenty of room for all of your photography equipment. Please be sure to charge your batteries the night before your tour! Guests should order their included deli lunches (available from the Old Faithful Snow Lodge Dining Room) the evening prior to the tour. These lunches will be picked up by the guide. While the snowcoaches are heated, sightseeing stops where passengers leave the coach necessitate warm footwear and warm layered clothing.

Winter Photo Safari

From the very first time we did the Winter Photo Safari, we were hooked. We make a point of signing up for one and sometimes two photo safaris each time we visit. Not only is the guide exceptional but the photo opportunities are unparalleled. We love every minute of it.
