Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone Snowshoe Tour

GRAND CANYON SNOWSHOE TOUR

This narrated sightseeing tour to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone departs the Snow Lodge and follows the road north from Old Faithful through the Upper and Lower Geyser Basins to Madison Junction, where a brief stop is made. The tour continues north along the Gibbon River through excellent elk and bison habitat, following the road east from Norris to Canyon. Spend up to 2 wonderful hours at the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and snowshoe up to 3 miles. Children are welcome but must be physically capable of keeping up with the group.

Please order your included deli box lunch at the Front Desk by 7:00 pm the night prior to your tour. Club Croissant deli box lunches will be ordered for all individuals who do not place an order by 7:00 pm the night prior to the tour departure. You’re encouraged to bring a pack with extra snacks, water, hats and gloves. Timing can vary due to weather conditions. Stops are also made throughout the day to view wildlife. We suggest participants dress for cold outside temperatures, layers are best.

Snowshoes are not included in the price, but are available to rent in the Bear Den Ski Shop.

Old Faithful Snow Lodge
Over-snow transportation is required to and from Snow Lodge during the winter season, roads are closed to personal vehicles. We offer snowcoach transportation between Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Old Faithful Snow Lodge for an additional charge (reservations are required each direction).
