Mammoth Hotel lodging is closed for renovations during the Winter 2018-2019 Season

With the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel closed for winter 2018/19, we suggest you consider basing your Northern Range explorations in Gardiner, Montana or Cooke City, Montana.  Gardiner is located at the north entrance, and Cooke City/Silver Gate at the northeast entrance to Yellowstone. Both communities offer a range of lodging, restaurants, tours, ski trails and outdoor adventures to make the most of your Yellowstone winter experience.

Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel will still be the base for snowcoach transportation into Old Faithful.  The lobby, Map Room, gift shop and ski shop will be open for an abbreviated schedule during the day. Morning coffee service and limited options for food will be available. Our winter operational hours and service specifics will be available by mid-September.

Accommodations at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel & Cabins

Due to renovations of the hotel rooms, lodging inside the Mammoth Hotel will be unavailable until late summer 2019.  With the reopening of the Mammoth Hotel in late summer, all hotel rooms will have been renovated and include private baths.

For Summer 2019, cabin style lodging will be available for the full season. The Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel reception desk, lobby, gift shop, Map Room, dining room and Terrace Grill will be open as usual for the full summer season.

We are sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
