Canyon Lodge and Cabins is a sprawling facility, featuring the most accommodations in Yellowstone with more than 500 rooms and cabins. Located on the east side of the park near the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River, Canyon Lodge is open from the beginning of June through early October. In 2016, a two-year lodging redevelopment was completed resulting in 5 new lodges and a total of 400-plus guest rooms that include 2-Bedroom Suites, Superior Lodge Rooms and Standard Lodge Rooms. All 5 new lodges are LEED Certified. The main public building that houses the restaurants and gift shop was redesigned and reopened in 2017.
These are units built in modules of 4 or 6 units include private full bathrooms. Each is spacious with modern furnishings and two queen beds. No telephones. Televisions, radios, and air conditioning are not available in park lodging.
Standard Lodge Room
Newly constructed Standard Lodge Rooms at Canyon Lodge, include 1 queen bed, activity table and chairs, phone, and bathroom with shower. Room does not include a coffee maker. There are no TVs or A/C available in park lodging.
Deluxe Lodge Room (Formerly Superior and Premium Lodge Rooms)
Newly constructed Deluxe Lodge Rooms at Canyon Lodge (Formerly Named Superior Lodge Rooms), include 2 queen beds, activity table, and chairs, hospitality cabinet with coffee brewer and refrigerator, carpeted floor, phone, and bathroom with tub/shower combo. There are no TVs or A/C available in park lodging.
Deluxe Lodge rooms located in the Cascade and Dunraven Lodges (formerly named Premium Lodge rooms) are attractively decorated hotel rooms that offer modern western-themed lodge furniture, typically one or two queen beds. Televisions, radios, and air conditioning are not available in park lodging.
Newly constructed Suites at Canyon Lodge, include 1 king and 1 queen bed in separate bedrooms, plus a sitting room with a sofa sleeper bed, activity table and chairs, wet bar with coffee brewer and refrigerator, carpeted floors, phone, and bathroom with tub/shower combo.
