Canyon Lodge and Cabins, with more than 500 rooms and cabins, is a sprawling facility offering the most accommodations in Yellowstone. Centrally located on the east side of the park near the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, Canyon Lodge provides easy access to both the upper and lower loops of the park. Head north to the famed Lamar Valley over Dunraven Pass, south towards Yellowstone Lake, or west to Norris Geyser Basin. And let’s not forget the breathtaking Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone, practically in your backyard! Just a short drive away—or, for the adventurous, accessible via trails from the cabin area—it’s a must-see.

Canyon Lodge and Cabins underwent one of the largest sustainable lodging redevelopment projects in the National Parks. Five lodges, completed in 2016, are certified in LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Learn more about the 2016 lodging redevelopment project in our blog.

Canyon Eatery, a large public building in Canyon Village, houses restaurants and gift shops, and was redesigned and reopened in 2017. Canyon Eatery is within walking distance to cabins and lodges if you choose not to drive.

Accommodations at Canyon Lodge & Cabins

Suites

The suite has separate bedrooms and a shared living room, an outdoor deck, a full bathroom, mini-refrigerator with complimentary soft drinks and snacks, telephone, heat, coffee maker, hairdryer, alarm clock, and fan. There is no air conditioning, TV, or radio, and neither pets nor cooking are allowed. These second-floor rooms are accessible by elevator. All lodge rooms and cabins are non-smoking/non-vaping. This Suite has 1 King bed, 1 Queen bed and a queen sofa sleeper.

Deluxe Porch New Lodge Room

The deluxe rooms feature 2 Queen beds, porch with chairs, full bathroom, safe, telephone, mini-refrigerator, heat, coffee maker, hairdryer, alarm clock, and fan. There is no air conditioning, TV, or radio, and neither pets nor cooking are allowed. Upper floor rooms are accessible by elevator. All lodge rooms and cabins are non-smoking/non-vaping. These rooms are located in one of the newer lodges, completed in 2016.

Deluxe New Lodge Room

The deluxe rooms feature 2 Queen beds, full bathroom, safe, telephone, mini-refrigerator, heat, coffee maker, hairdryer, alarm clock, and fan. There is no air conditioning, TV, or radio, and neither pets nor cooking are allowed. Upper floor rooms are accessible by elevator. All lodge rooms and cabins are non-smoking/non-vaping. These rooms are located in one of the newer lodges, completed in 2016.

The deluxe rooms feature 1 or 2 Queen beds, full bathroom, safe, telephone, mini-refrigerator, heat, coffee maker, hairdryer, alarm clock, and fan. There is no air conditioning, TV, or radio, and neither pets nor cooking are allowed. Not all upper-floor rooms are accessible by elevator. All lodge rooms and cabins are non-smoking/non-vaping. These rooms are located in either Cascade or Dunraven Lodges.

Standard Lodge Room

The standard rooms feature 1 Queen bed, bathroom with shower only, telephone, heat, coffee maker, hairdryer, alarm clock, and fan. There is no air conditioning, TV, or radio, and neither pets nor cooking are allowed. Upper floor rooms are accessible by elevator. All lodge rooms and cabins are non-smoking/non-vaping.

Western Cabins

The cabins feature 2 Queen beds, full bathroom, heat, coffee maker, hairdryer, alarm clock, fan, and a shared front porch. There is no air conditioning, TV, telephone, or radio, and cooking is not allowed. All lodge rooms and cabins are non-smoking/non-vaping. Select cabins are pet friendly.

ADA rooms are available (Select ‘Show ADA Rooms’ when searching our availability online or call us at 307-344-7311 regarding units for guests with disabilities and larger room sizes). A limited number of wheelchairs are available at the front desk on a first-come-first-served basis. Select cabins are pet-friendly. A maximum of 2 pets are allowed per pet-friendly cabin, with a $25 pet fee per unit. Pets (with the exception of service dogs) are not allowed on park buses & transportation, this is a federal law.
