Maximize your winter recreation

Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel Will Be Closed For The Next Two Winter Seasons
Limited Services to Remain Available at Mammoth

As part of the ongoing improvements to park facilities, the Mammoth Hotel will be undergoing a two-phase renovation. The extensive work will be done during the period from late fall through early spring.  The work will involve seismic stabilization, expansion of the building to accommodate the ski shop, and renovations to public spaces and guest rooms. The historic Haynes Photo Shop in Mammoth is currently being renovated so that it can become the new location for many of the administrative offices and the reservations call center that are currently located in the hotel. This additional hotel space (vacated by moving the offices) will be used for guest rooms and new meeting/classroom space. Once renovations are completed in 2018, all guest rooms in the hotel will have a private bathroom.

In order to provide windows for the construction to occur unimpeded, we will be closing the hotel during our winter seasons (December 2016 through February 2017 and December 2017 through February 2018.)

We will continue to provide limited operations from Mammoth, though lodging will not be available.  They include:

Snowcoach Transportation

Scheduled winter snowcoach service will continue to be offered between Mammoth and Old Faithful Snow Lodge.
The Airport shuttle between the Bozeman-Yellowstone International Airport and Mammoth will continue

Dining

A limited fast food menu will be available at the Terrace Grill.  (Breakfast, lunch and dinner)

Gifts and Ski Shop

A limited gift shop operation will be based in the Terrace Grill
A ski shop (rentals, services) will be based out of the Terrace Grill
