We believe that there are few more important – or more complex- tasks ahead of us than that of reaching an ecological balance between business and the natural environment. We are a company based upon values that reflect an environmental ethic and social conscience – for the long term. “Our Softer Footprint” focuses on how we reduce our environmental impact through our comprehensive environmental initiatives. Our business practices exemplify environmental stewardship, and a desire to protect and preserve our public lands.

  • You have a desire to protect and preserve Yellowstone National Park for future generations.

“Eco-friendly company.”

Fun Fact: We have a goal to improve recycling by 3% per year. We currently recycle or compost 60% of waste, which is more than double the national average. Last year, thanks to the efforts of recyclers and staff, we kept 3,391,920 pounds out of the landfill, instead sending them to become new products

“I really like the environmental program of Xanterra.”

Meet Mia Panado

Mia is a Risk and Sustainability Specialist at Grant Village. She discovered her passion for nature and protecting natural resources while on a volunteer trip to Biscayne National Park in 2015. There she helped to pick up over 500 pounds of garbage that washed up onto shore from the ocean. Her love of backpacking, camping, and spending time in nature is what brought her to Yellowstone. Her best advice for someone considering a Yellowstone job is “Don’t let any opportunity to meet someone slip away, you’ll regret it at the end of your time here. They are probably just as nervous as you, so be the one to take the first step!” In her free time, Mia enjoys listening to music, hiking, swimming, and hanging out with her friends in Grant Village.
